This is a modular system for creating interactive storylines in the Theatre Museum in Malmö. It allows the museum to repurpose its rich archive of exhibits to be fleshed out and explored by the visitors in the limited space and reorganised with limited resources.

Stories of… allows for coexistence of multiple visitor paths at the same time. When entering the museum, one can choose whichever they are interested in. For example: there can be a path telling the story of how theatre is made, tailored towards children. While at the same time adults may be more interested in emergence of a specific director and their influence on the theatre scene in Malmö.

The project responds to the need for a more structured flow within the museum, highlighting the stories that might otherwise fade out and bring performativity to the visitor experience.

The 10-week process was guided by Participatory Design principles. During the project duration, we have engaged in 3 structured workshops, multiple visits to the museum and involved experts to bring their expertise into the design. The result was a prototype of an exhibition that could take place using the system, as well as guidelines for creation of further exhibitions.
